He Heard Every Thought I Had About His Body Chapter 09

He Heard Every Thought I Had About His Body Chapter 09

After dinner, Warren started cleaning up

A few minutes later, he came out of the kitchen

carrying a slice of matcha roll cake

I haven’t made this in a long time. Give it a try.”

Then he headed straight back to the sink

The truth was, Warren wasn’t naturally good at cooking

When we were kids, our parents got the brilliant idea that we should both learn

The result

My dad ended up with food poisoning. Warren’s dad

spent the entire night throwing up

Our moms stared at the charred food in horrified silence

After that, nobody ever suggested cooking lessons again

The next time Warren walked into a kitchen was when

we were in eighth grade

I’d always had stomach problems

On top of that, I loved eating junk food with my friends

which only made things worse

Morning stomachaches became routine

Eventually, I couldn’t even eat cafeteria food anymore

Every meal came right back up

My parents were swamped with work at the time

I didn’t want to worry them, so I kept it to myself

I cut out greasy and spicy food and just dealt with it

Warren was the first person who noticed something was wrong

He never asked questions

Instead, he quietly threw himself into learning how to

cookand somehow, he got surprisingly good at it

From then on, he made my breakfast and lunch every day

He always claimed he’d made too much by accident

and didn’t want it to go to waste. I bought it. For an entire year

It wasn’t until after chatting with Mrs. Cross that learned the truth

After we got married, Warren was still the one cooking and washing dishes

He didn’t stop spending so much time in the kitchen until I hired Rosa

The matcha roll cake melted in my mouth. Soft, sweetperfect

I finished every bite before carrying the empty plate into the kitchen

Warren was still washing dishes

You can just leave it there.”

Can we kiss tonight?”

The plate clinked against the sink

Warren’s back was to me, so I couldn’t see his expression

I only saw him place a clean plate right back onto the dirty stack

After a long pause, he answered, Okay.”

Warren walked into the bedroom so stiffly that his

arms and legs seemed to be moving in sync

I set my book aside and looked at him

Should we start now?”

His eyes flicked toward the bed beneath me

He hesitated for a few seconds

Then he nodded. Okay.”

I already brushed my teeth and used mouthwash.”

So did I.”

I pushed back the blanket and sat on the edge of the

bed, looking up at him

I’d never kissed anyone before

Romance novels and TV dramas had never interested me

I had absolutely no reallife experience

But fanfiction? That was another story entirely

After thinking it over, I shifted onto my knees

I reached up, wrapped my arms around Warren’s neck

and gently pulled him down toward me

His eyes widened. But he didn’t stop me

I closed my eyes and kissed him

He smelled faintly of clean soap

I followed the steps I’d memorizedbiting, lickingexploring

Warren’s breathing gradually grew uneven

Even so, he stayed perfectly still and let me take the lead

He didn’t move until I finally pulled away

His eyes lingered on my lips, and almost without

thinking, he leaned in againbefore stopping himself

Sorry.”

It’s okay.”

I sat back down and picked up my book again

But my eyes kept drifting somewhere else

Holy crapwhy is it so big again

It looks like it’s gonna bust right through his pants

Warren had barely gotten into bed before he climbed right back out

Without a single word, he headed straight for the bathroom
