Abandoned by my Three Alpha Fathers, Reborn as the Silver Wolf Commander Chapter 03

Abandoned by my Three Alpha Fathers, Reborn as the Silver Wolf Commander Chapter 03

Kaelen’s cold gaze landed on the suitcase I’d just finished packing.

Rowan stood in the doorway, eyes cold and empty–like I was

a stranger, not his daughter.

And Lyra? She was practically glowing–like she couldn’t wait

to watch me disappear.

“I…”

almost said it.

Then Darius’s voice from yesterday echoed in my head. “We

don’t need to know every little thing you’re doing.”

That shut me up.

If I left without a word, maybe I could tell myself they just

didn’t know where I’d gone.

Not that they’d care anyway.

“I signed up for an experimental program,” I finally said. “I’ll

be staying with my mentor for a while.”

Rowan’s gaze sharpened. “So all that talk about never coming

back–who were you trying to threaten?”

“What, you want everyone to think you’re the victim?”

Kaelen scoffed. “You want to leave? Then leave. Nobody’s

begging you to stay.”

“Dad, don’t be so harsh,” Lyra said softly, putting on a hurt,

innocent look. “Sienna didn’t mean it. Don’t talk to her like that.”

Then she turned to me with a sweet smile. “Sienna, don’t talk

like that. You’ll hurt their feelings.”

“Don’t bother,” I shot back. “No matter what I do, they’ll

always like you more.”

“Watch your mouth!” Kaelen snapped. “Can’t you talk to us

properly for once?”

said nothing.

I turned away, wiped my eyes before the tears could fall, and

went upstairs to finish packing.

That night, I stood at the front door with my suitcase.

Suddenly, the sky opened up. Within seconds, the garden was

a blur behind the rain,

Still here?” Rowan sat on the couch, flipping through the

newspaper with a cold laugh.

You spent all afternoon packing just to make us beg you to

stay? What’s the matter? A little rain too much for you?”

“You were so sure you were never coming back,” Kaelen added,

his eyes cold and mocking. “Where’d all that big talk go?”

He turned and peeled an orange for Lyra, his expression softening.

Lyra walked over to me. “The storm’s pretty bad, Sienna. Why

not leave tomorrow?”

She held out her hand.

I knew exactly what she was doing.

If I took her hand, she’d yank it away, burst into tears, and

tell everyone I hurt her.

Let her go, Lyra,” Darius said, pulling her behind him. “If she

wants to leave, let her.”

I clenched my jaw and gripped the handle of my suitcase

until my knuckles turned white.

Then I walked out into the rain.

“Miss Sienna, your umbrella!” one of the maids ran after me.

“Don’t give it to her!” Rowan’s voice cut through the rain. “As

of today, she’s not family! Wipe her from the pack house system!”

A vase shattered somewhere behind him.

Rain mixed with my tears as I kept walking. At the corner,

Everett’s car was waiting.

Everett Sinclair was the Alpha of Blackwood Pack and a core

researcher at Northstar Lycan Academy.

For years, he had been developing a serum that could help

young werewolves reduce the pain of shifting.

He was also Professor Hawthorne’s student. When he learned

that I had finally accepted Northstar Lycan Academy’s

invitation, he offered to pick me up.

“I could’ve waited,” he said, lifting my suitcase into the trunk.

Why’d you run out in this?”

Well, look at that.” Darius’s voice cut through the rain. “So

this is why you were in such a hurry? Found yourself a new

Alpha already–and now you’re moving in with him?”

Everett clenched his jaw. “I’m not. I’m just taking her to-

Everett,” I cut him off, shaking my head.

Everett shut up and helped me into the passenger seat.

Darius frowned. “Where the hell are you going?”

“It doesn’t matter. You’ll understand eventually.”

Darius stood in the rain, completely stunned.

Just as the car pulled away, he rushed forward and grabbed for my door.

“Sienna, get out of the car!”

Darius was furious—but under it, I saw something else. Panic?

Regret?

Whatever it was, I didn’t want to see it anymore.

Everett slammed on the gas.

In the rearview mirror, Darius stood frozen in the pouring

rain until the storm swallowed him whole.

The airport.

One hour till boarding.

Professor Hawthorne called.

Your records get wiped at midnight. After that, Sienna Voss

is gone. Last chance to say goodbye.”

stared at my phone. I didn’t know what to do.

Then a notification popped up. It was Lyra’s new Instagram post.

She was front and center, glowing. My three dads stood

behind her, looking at her like she was the sun.

My throat tightened. That spot in the center used to be mine.

Still, I hesitated. Then I made the call.

“Hello?” Lyra answered, her voice bright and cheerful.

Where are Dads?” I asked quietly.

“Oh! Rowan’s making me mushroom soup, Kaelen’s helping

me organize my study stuff, and Darius is fixing my closet door,” she said sweetly.

“If you need anything, just say so. They’re all so busy taking care of me.”

Lyra, dinner’s ready. Don’t waste your time on her,” Rowan’s voice came through.

“Sienna, do you need anything else? I’m about to eat,” she

said. I could hear the smugness in her voice.

“No,” I whispered. “Nothing. Bye.”

hung up, pulled out my SIM card, and dropped it into the

nearest trash can.

Then I dragged my suitcase to the gate and didn’t look back.

After the plane took off, I looked out the window.

The city lights stretched out below me, blurring into soft gold and shadow.

The memories that once hurt me, the ones I held on to.

finally faded beneath the clouds.

Smaller. Farther. Gone.

Goodbye, Dads.
