Abandoned by my Three Alpha Fathers, Reborn as the Silver Wolf Commander Chapter 04

Abandoned by my Three Alpha Fathers, Reborn as the Silver Wolf Commander Chapter 04

At the pack house, Lyra curled up with Rowan and Darius,

begging for bedtime stories.

Their laughter filled the room. Warm, easy, and perfect, just

like a happy family.

My old bedroom, the one I’d given to them, was officially hers now.

She finally fell asleep after midnight.

Rowan and Darius quietly slipped out of the room.

That was when it hit them. I hadn’t reached out.

Not once.

Still nothing?” Rowan muttered as he pulled out his phone.

He tried my number again.

No answer.

Darius shrugged, completely unconcerned. “Sienna’s just playing games.”

“She wants us to chase her and beg her to come back. Classic

manipulation. Don’t give her the satisfaction.”

*She’ll come crawling back in a few days.”

But Kaelen frowned, unease creeping across his face. “I don’t

know. Something feels off this time.”

Darius scoffed. “What’s different? I watched her get into

Everett Sinclair’s car myself. The Alpha of Blackwood Pack

came to pick her up himself.”

‘She’s got a new protector now, so of course she doesn’t want to come back.”

“Let her go,” Rowan said coldly. “She’ll realize soon enough

how good she had it here. Then she’ll come running back.”

The next day, Lyra wanted to go to Winter Moon Park.

Rowan canceled a Pack Council meeting. Kaelen called off a

Healer research meeting. Darius rented out the whole park

and brought in warriors to lock it down.

Enjoy it, princess,” Rowan said, stroking her hair. “Today’s all yours.”

Lyra beamed, linked arms with all three of them, and walked in.

The rides, hot chocolate, candy, souvenirs–the whole day

looked like one perfectly staged Instagram post.

But every so often, the three Alphas would glance down at their phones.

Still nothing from me.

Even the mind link, the bond that had once kept us so

tightly connected, stayed silent.

Before, they were the ones who kept me at a distance. This time, I cut the connection.

‘Sienna’s never done this before,” Kaelen said, frowning. “Do you think something really happened to her?”

Don’t be ridiculous,” Rowan snapped. “She shifted at fifteen. She’s stronger than most adult Alphas. Nothing’s going to happen to her.”

Darius said nothing, but his jaw tightened. He didn’t want to admit it, but something was eating away at him.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away.

Northstar Lycan Academy’s Northern Training Grounds.

I’d just finished my first extreme–cold survival test since

joining the Silver Wolf Program. I sat under a tree, catching my breath.

Lyra’s latest Instagram post popped up.

She was still wearing my ring. Front and center, the three

men on either side, all proud, happy smiles,

In the comments, all three rushed to shower her with love.

Rowan: [Hope you have a wonderful day, sweetheart.]

Kaelen: [Our little moon. We’re so lucky to have you.]

Darius: [We’ll always be here for you. Always.]

I smiled. It didn’t even hurt anymore. Just felt… distant.

Numb. Like I was watching someone else’s story.

Somewhere behind me, an instructor yelled for us to fall in.

I turned off my phone and walked into the snowstorm.

One week after I left.

At the pack house, Lyra wrapped her arms around Rowan’s

neck, eyes pleading.

Dad, I want that moonstone necklace. Please? It’s gorgeous.”

Rowan hesitated. He’d heard of it. Crazy rare. Worth six figures.

Before he could answer, Lyra turned to Darius and tugged on

his sleeve. “Can we go see the Northern Lights? This month? Please?”

Darius smiled and gently tucked a strand of her hair behind

her ear, but his voice was cautious. “Lyra, that takes planning,

Aren’t you in school?”

Lyra’s face fell.

“Why are you hesitating? Ever since Sienna left, you never say

yes anymore. Don’t you love me?”

Kaelen’s expression darkened. “Lyra, Sienna’s been gone for

over a week. You haven’t asked about her once.”

Lyra blinked, putting on a hurt, innocent look.

“She’s just jealous. She always does this–disappears to make

you feel guilty, then waits for you to chase her. That’s her thing, isn’t it?”

The three men exchanged a look.

If Lyra really was as innocent as she seemed, how could she

say something like that?

All this time, they thought they had us figured out. I was

jealous and calculating. Lyra was innocent and kind,

But now… it wasn’t that simple.

Something had quietly slipped out of their control.
