Abandoned by my Three Alpha Fathers, Reborn as the Silver Wolf Commander Chapter 02

Rowan stepped in front of Lyra, shielding her as if I were

about to attack her.

Of course. The ring in my hand wasn’t something I’d bought.

It was a gift from my three fathers when I shifted for the first

time at fifteen.

That’s right. I shifted early. I was the youngest female Alpha

in three generations. And I’d awakened as a rare Silver Wolf.

I was supposed to inherit all three packs. That ring? It was

supposed to be mine by right.

Lyra had always wanted them for herself. Every time she

brought them up, we ended up in a huge fight.

So when I walked in and just handed it over, of course they

thought I was playing a game.

After a long silence, I finally spoke, “Just take it as an apology.”

Darius’s expression softened. “Now that’s more like it. Don’t

worry, Sienna. Even if Lyra wears that ring, you’ll still inherit all three packs,”

We’ll buy you a better one,” Rowan added, his tone easing.

Custom–made. Whatever you want.”

Kaelen reached over and ruffled my hair. “You’re finally

growing out of that stubborn attitude. Be nicer to Lyra.”

My throat tightened. Tears burned in my eyes. I fought them back.

I couldn’t remember the last time they’d spoken to me

without that cold edge.

“Oh my God, thank you, Sienna!” Lyra squealed, clutching the

ring tightly. “I’m so wearing this to the Christmas party!”

Then she looked up at me, eyes bright and sparkling. “You’re

coming with us, right? Dads cleared their schedules to take

me to the fireworks!”

I can’t go,” I said.

Darius frowned. “Why not?”

I…” I hesitated, unsure whether I should tell him the truth.

Forget it,” he cut me off, waving a hand impatiently. “We

don’t need to know your every move.”

The room went completely silent.

pulled a key from my pocket and set it on the table. “This is

the key to my room. Once I move out, she can have it.”

Rowan stared at me like I’d grown a second head. “What did you just say?”

My room wasn’t the biggest or most luxurious one in the

house. But Lyra had always said she loved it.

She kept asking to switch rooms with me, even after Rowan offered to build her a brand–new one.

Just yesterday, she was complaining that my room got the

best morning light and that the balcony faced the garden.

And once again, I’d turned her down.

Kaelen’s face darkened. “Sienna, you don’t have to make us feel guilty. Lyra already agreed to take another room.”

I’m not trying to make anyone feel guilty,” I said calmly. “I mean it. I won’t be home much anymore anyway.”

That’s enough.” Rowan’s voice boomed through the room.

We don’t care why you’re doing this, but cut the games. We’ll get Lyra her own place.”

That was the end of it.

Then they turned back to Lyra was she warm enough, did

her wrist still hurt, did she want more cake.

stood there, feeling invisible all over again.

I bent down and pretended to tie my shoelace so they

wouldn’t see my wet eyes.

“I’m leaving,” I said softly.

My footsteps echoed on the hardwood.

No one called after me.

No one said a word.

For some reason, I thought of the day Mom died.

All three of them had cried. They’d held me tight and

promised, “We’ll always love you. You’ll always be our little girl.”

Those damn liars.

I finally let the tears fall.

The next morning, I started packing.

I cleared out everything. Clothes. Books. Even the framed

photos I’d once treasured.

The maids watched me, confused.

Miss Sienna,” one of them asked carefully, “you’re the heir.

Our true princess. Why give your room to that foster girl? Where will you stay when you come back?”

I forced a smile. “Nowhere. I’m leaving. I won’t need one.”

“Are you going away for work? But you’ll still need a room when you come back.”

“I’m not coming back,” I said. “Ever.”

Before I could move, I heard footsteps behind me.

It was Kaelen.

His voice was low. Sharp

“Where the hell are you going?”
