You Taught Me How to Stary Chapter 11
Josephine’s hand slowly dropped.Â
Cedric held her body, frozen for a moment.Â
Suddenly he began to laugh lowly, repeating over and over: “My Josephine is just too tired… she needs to sleep…”Â
Then he drove everyone away and carefully placed Josephine back on the bed.Â
Cedric changed her into clean clothes and combed her hair over and over again.Â
His face was full of tenderness, but his voice trembled:Â
“Josephine, I’ll wait for you to wake up.”Â
With that, he gently kissed her forehead.Â
Cedric kept watch by the bed for three days andÂ
nights, but Josephine never woke up.Â
He completely panicked.Â
His Josephine was still angry.Â
His Josephine wouldn’t forgive him.Â
It was all Vivian’s fault.Â
Yes, all her fault.Â
She was the one who tore them apart!Â
At this thought, obsession and hatred surfaced in Cedric’s eyes.Â
He rushed out of the room, grabbed Vivian by theÂ
hair, and dragged her to Josephine’s bedside.Â
“Apologize!”Â
“Until Josephine wakes up!”Â
Vivian collapsed on her knees on the floor, tremblingÂ
at the sight of Josephine’s stiff body.Â
Seeing her hesitation, the violence in Cedric’s eyes deepened.Â
He grabbed Vivian’s hair and slammed her head against the floor, again and again.Â
Vivian’s forehead split open, and she begged desperately: “Cedric, for old times‘ sake… please let me go…”Â
Cedric’s tone was ice–cold: “Josephine hasn’t woken up! You must apologize!”Â
Vivian’s whole body shook.Â
“But… but she’s already dead!”Â
At those words, Cedric’s eyes immediately turned red,Â
He grabbed Vivian by the throat and slapped her hard twice.Â
“She’s not dead! She’s just angry! You have to make her forgive you!”Â
Cedric ordered his men to tie Vivian’s arms to a crane hook.Â
Vivian hung suspended in mid–air, with cold river water below.Â
Cedric sat in the crane’s driver seat, holding Josephine.Â
He operated the crane, dunking Vivian into the river.Â
When her struggling weakened, he lifted her back up.Â
After she caught her breath a bit, he dunked her again.Â
Over and over.Â
Cedric whispered softly in Josephine’s ear: “Josephine, look, she’s struggling.”Â
“Josephine, look, she’s crying.”Â
“Josephine, look! She’s not moving in the water anymore!” Cedric suddenly broke down, screaming:”Â
Josephine! Why won’t you speak? Why won’t you open your eyes?!”Â
He looked at Josephine, long since stiff in his arms, and sobbed uncontrollably.Â
“Why… why won’t you forgive me…”Â
Suddenly, a wild smile spread across Cedric’s face.Â
“I understand now…”Â
“You want me to join you, don’t you?”Â
“I knew it, my Josephine loves me most.”Â
He pulled out the powder Josephine had given him from his pocket and drank it all.Â
Tears fell silently as Cedric’s face still wore a tender smile.Â
“Josephine, I’m coming to be with you…”Â
