You Taught Me How to Stary Chapter 10
The medical expert removed his mask, looking regretful.Â
“It’s too late. The cancer has already spread. If we had started treatment a month earlier, we could haveÂ
kept her going for a few more years with medication.”Â
He shook his head and sighed, “The patient could go at any moment…”Â
Cedric stood there, at a complete loss.Â
Seeing him like this, I spoke softly, “I threw up blood in front of you so many times and told you I had stomach cancer, but you only believed Vivian and said I had some STD.”Â
After hearing this, Cedric stumbled backward into the chair behind him, nearly losing his balance.Â
I curled up in pain and stopped looking at him.Â
Cedric reached out, trying to wipe the cold sweat from my forehead.Â
I suddenly opened my mouth and bit down hard on his hand.Â
Maybe because my emotions were too intense, I coughed up another mouthful of blood.Â
Cedric looked worried and tried to touch me again.Â
I was breathing heavily and glared at him viciously.Â
Cedric panicked, taking a long moment to recover.Â
“Josephine, don’t worry! I won’t let you suffer for nothing. I’ll make Vivian pay back a thousand times over!”Â
With that, he rushed out of the room.Â
Before long, Cedric dragged Vivian into my room and threw her hard onto the floor.Â
“Vivian, you’re not getting up today unless Josephine forgives you!”Â
Vivian trembled all over, kneeling and kowtowing to me.Â
“Josephine, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry… please forgive me.Â
I couldn’t be bothered with them and kept my eyes closed.Â
Vivian’s eyes turned red with desperation.Â
She grabbed the corner of my clothes, her eyes full of pleading.Â
I swayed slightly from the tugging and couldn’t help frowning.Â
Seeing this, Cedric instantly flew into a rage.Â
“Vivian! How dare you touch her?!”Â
“You useless piece of trash!” He grabbed Vivian by the hair. “From now on, every time Josephine feels pain, I‘ Il make you pay!”Â
“And you have to kneel and apologize to Josephine every single day!”Â
Ignoring Vivian’s pleas, Cedric dragged her into the next room.Â
Soon the sound of a whip cracking and Vivian’s screams came from inside.Â
I just found them ridiculous and shifted position to continue sleeping.Â
This went on for another two days.Â
Suddenly I felt like I couldn’t breathe, gasping for air.Â
Blood kept pouring from the corner of my mouth.Â
The doctors swarmed around me in chaos.Â
I knew I was almost gone.Â
Using my last bit of strength, I called out, “Cedric.”Â
He immediately rushed to my side, his eyes showing panic like never before.Â
“Josephine, I’m here…”Â
I took the initiative to grab his hand.Â
I placed the powder I’d been holding in my palm into his hand.Â
The monitor by the bed suddenly started beeping.Â
Beep–beep–beep-Â
My vision went black and I lost my sight.Â
