She Catfished The Don As Me, Now She Regrets It Chapter 06
The ballroom fell silent for a moment, then the whispers surged
again.
“Which one is the real Miss Valenti…?*
“You’re really an idiot. Mr. and Mrs. Valenti are standing right there.
How could this possibly be fake?”
“What if she really hired them….*
“Impossible. I’ve met the Valentis. Shut your mouth.”
Listening to Livia’s desperate excuses. I found the whole thing
ridiculous.
“Livia, you really don’t know when to quit.” I shook my head, raised
my hand, and snapped my fingers. Take a look at this.”
The ballroom doors opened again.
Two men, tied up tightly, were thrown inside by several guards.
“Help me! Miss Evans!” one man screamed. “She ordered us to do it!
We didn’t want to!”
I said coldly. “What exactly did she order you to do?”
The man lowered his head and burst into tears, looking as though
he’d just been through a brutal interrogation.
“Miss Evans told us to kidnap Miss Valenti, knock her unconscious
first, then take her to the abandoned factory and torture her until
the party was over… That’s all I know. Please let me go. I won’t do it
again!”
Livia’s legs gave out. She collapsed to the floor.
“No, that’s not true… Those witnesses are all fake…”
“Next time you steal my identity, maybe learn how the mafia
actually operates first.” I smiled at her. “A true Valenti princess
wouldn’t have her legs give out over something this trivial.”
Murmurs rippled through the crowd. Scornful stares pierced her like
arrows.
Just as Livia teetered on the edge of collapse, an angry voice rang
out from behind the doors.
“Livia, you ungrateful wretch!”
Everyone turned.
An elderly man with gray hair and simple clothes stormed in,
furious.
It was Wyatt, the Capo who had served the Valenti family for over
thirty years–and Livia’s biological father.
Wyatt stared at Livia, dressed in a couture gown with flawless
makeup and dripping in expensive jewelry.
Disbelief filled his face.
He rushed forward. The next second, he raised his hand and slapped
her hard.
The sharp crack echoed through the entire ballroom.
Livia staggered sideways. Her ears rang and her cheek burned red.
She looked up at Wyatt in shock.
“Livia, you ungrateful wretch!” Wyatt’s voice trembled with
disappointment. “Who gave you the guts to impersonate Miss
Valenti? Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
Livia clutched her face as tears streamed down.
She looked at the old, hunched man in front of her. Her lips
quivered before she finally choked out, “Dad…*
Before she could react, Wyatt’s second slap landed even harder.
“Don’t call me Dad!” His voice was hoarse and furious. “I don’t have a
daughter like you!”
Livia clutched her face, stunned. All her pent–up emotions exploded.
Tears poured from her eyes as she looked up at Wyatt and
screamed wildly, “Dad, why are you hitting me? What gives you the
right? This is all your fault! It’s because of you!”
