I Sat Trapped In The Wedding Car For One Whole Hour Chapter 08

Ethan stood outside until the sun started going down. No matter how many times he called my name, I never came but

My parents had enough and called the police. The cops

warned him that if he kept harassing me, he’d be arrested

Ethan said he didn’t care, but when his parents showed up

right behind the officers, he shut down

His parents dragged him home, sighing the whole way. If she

doesn’t want to get back together, why are you so set on her?”

You got fired and you won’t even look for a new job. You just

lock yourself at home and drink, or camp outside Hazel’s

house. You’ve made this whole family look like fools!”

His father stared at him, disgusted and exhausted. Waiting

for him to snap out of it. But Ethan barely seemed to hear. He

didn’t even remember getting home

He pushed his bedroom door open in a daze. A familiar

perfume hit him. The one I used to wear

Ethan’s expression froze, He looked down at the suitcase on

the floor and the clothes thrown across the bed

Ethan, you’re back.Savannah walked out of the bathroom in her pajamas

Ethan snapped back to reality. He remembered every

question I’d just asked. His face went cold and he moved to throw her out.

Who told you to come here? Get out!”

Savannah stubbornly refused to leave. Your parents told me I could.”

Right on cue, his mother walked in to explain. Yes, yes, I’m

the one who asked her to come.”

She shielded Savannah and looked at Ethan with a pained

expression. Look at you. You’ve wasted away. I asked

Savannah to come take care of you. Can you just let your

father and me have some peace of mind?”

But Ethan gave them no room to argue. He grabbed the

clothes off the bed, shoved them into the suitcase, and hurled it out the door

I don’t need anyone to take care of me.”

His mother’s chest heaved with fury. Then at least have

some pity on her and let her stay for a while! She patted

Savannah’s hand reassuringly. The pipes in her apartment

still aren’t fixed. It’s unlivable. As a friend, you shouldn’t let her have nowhere to go

And that was it. The mention of the pipes set him off like bomb

He raised his voice and pointed a shaking finger right at

Savannah’s face. That crappy apartment of yours has burst

pipestwenty times a year. Every single time on an important day.

Hazel’s birthday. Our dates. And this time, the night before our wedding. You did it on purpose, didn’t you!”
