He Said Cheating Was a habit, Fine I Swapped Grooms Chapter 05

I hung up before he could reply and turned off my phone.

The plane took off, and the buildings below shrank into

nothingness. I closed my eyes and silentlysaid goodbye to

three miserable years of marriage.

I didn’t switch my phone back on until we landed. Thomas’s

missed calls and texts flooded my phone. I could easily

picture him–frantic and desperate.

Another call came through, and I answered.

“Amelia!” His voice barely contained his rage. “Where the hell

are you? I told you we’re not getting divorced, yet you hired a

lawyer to sue me? And these files you sent. Come home and

we can sort this out. The recordings are doctored.”

I let out a bitter laugh. “Thomas, the audio is real. Get it

analyzed if you need proof. The only fake evidence is the chat

logs Lilith fabricated. You can verify those yourself.”

He fell silent, still in denial, “Lilith wouldn’t be capable of

something this cruel.”

sighed. “Believe whatever you want. Your love for me was

empty, and I don’t want it anymore. Do you understand?”

ended the call and hailed a taxi after stepping outside the terminal.

I rented a small, quiet apartment in Sawyer City.

Finally peaceful. Finally free,

My phone kept buzzing nonstop. Annoyed, I blocked his

number completely. From then on, all communication went through my lawyer.

The old college class group chat had gone quiet.

I uploaded every piece of evidence, along with a full timeline

explaining everything, and posted it publicly.

[Warning: A Cheating Husband and a Home–Wrecker]

Within sixty seconds, the chat exploded.

Lilith messaged me, screaming insults nonstop. She ranted

about how I’d ruined her life and how I deserved to suffer.

skimmed through her messages. Nothing surprised me. I

shared those abusive texts as well.

Luckily, most people in the group had decent morals and

refused to side with them.

Several women in particular hated home–wreckers and

ripped Lilith to shreds in the group chat.

Someone dug up our old campus scandal.

I remember sophomore year when Lilith stole Amelia’s

boyfriend and got caught kissing him in the grove!”

‘She tried trading boyfriends with Amelia and dumped the

guy right afterward. Now she’s chasing after her old

classmate’s husband.”

“Lilith bullied Amelia back then. Cruelty runs deep with her.”

I muted the chat notifications and focused on drafting my

new startup plan.

At first, Lilith kept hurling insults, but the group backlash

became so fierce that she finally left the chat.

Thomas kept trying every possible way to reach me, but I

blocked him on every platform. He could do nothing.

Two weeks slipped by.

My lawyer called me first. Thomas had refused to sign the

divorce settlement.

I’d expected as much. After all those years together, I knew

exactly how he operated. He hated the bad publicity a

divorce would bring.

He wanted me to play the perfect wife at home while he

satisfied his appetites elsewhere.

He couldn’t have both. That was why I intended to press

forward with the lawsuit over his infidelity.

Tell Thomas this: if he keeps dragging his feet, his

reputation will take a beating. He can stall all he wants. I’m

never going back to him.”

My lawyer chuckled in agreement, then added that Thomas

was demanding an in–person meeting with me.

“I won’t meet him.” I shrugged. “Tell him I’m busy building

my new company. I don’t have time to waste on this.”
