He Said Cheating Was a habit, Fine I Swapped Grooms Chapter 04

I gasped in shock. “What are you talking about? I didn’t do anything!”

Thomas gripped my shoulders painfully. “Why did you kill her baby? Tell me why!”

I’ve been wondering why you were so quiet these past few

days. You were scheming this whole time! If it weren’t for you,

Lilith wouldn’t have lost everything in her divorce!”

I stared at him, stunned. “What are you saying?”

He tossed a screenshot of their messages at me, sneering coldly. “See for yourself!”

A chill ran down my spine as I read it.

Someone had used my profile picture and full name to

spread nude photos of Lilith online and claim she had an STD.

Another message, supposedly from me, had arranged the

hit–and–run that caused her miscarriage.

It was forged. I had never done any of it!

“Thomas, I didn’t send these. They’re fake. I’m calling the police!”

He ignored every word and roughly tore at my clothes. “You’re

the only one who hates her. Who else would do this? Because

I haven’t touched you in a year, you’re taking it out on her?

Amelia, if I sleep with you right now, will you stop hurting her?”

He bit and grabbed me brutally, and I screamed.

He kept going, his voice harsh and bitter. “It’s all right. Just

take it. You’ll get used to it. Maybe we just never tried hard

enough. I’ll schedule specific nights every month. Will that satisfy you?”

At that moment, every last piece of my heart broke.

I remembered the man who once held me tight and carried

me to the campus clinic when I had a panic attack and low blood sugar.

remembered how he fought every rumor to clear my name.

I remembered our wedding day, when he held me and swore

he would never betray me.

I couldn’t hold back any longer. I grabbed the tissue box off

the nightstand and slammed it hard against his head.

Thomas, you monster!” My voice shook uncontrollably, “I

never did any of those things to Lilith!”

Thomas froze for a second.

The madness faded from his eyes. He stood up, his gaze icy. “I

know I wronged you, but don’t harm innocent people. I’ll

handle this. Take some time to calm down.”

Then he left.

1 fixed my rumpled clothes and forced myself to stay composed.

I called my lawyer right away. “Marital rape counts as

evidence of domestic violence, correct? I have security camera

footage. Add this to the divorce petition.”

My phone rang. It was Lilith.

Amelia, divorce Thomas.”

I quietly hit record on the call. “That’s something you should

tell Thomas yourself.”

Her tone turned plaintive. “He only stays with you out of

obligation, not love!”

He told me that if you hadn’t caught us in the grove back

then, he would’ve waited patiently for me to return to him.

Amelia, you only got him because I threw him away. It’s time

you gave him back.”

She finally dropped her cool, detached act.

replied calmly, “So you framed me for orchestrating your

miscarriage on purpose, Lilith? I’m filing a police report.”

Lilith’s breathing grew sharp and frantic. “You wouldn’t dare!

Thomas will protect me!”

“I suspect the baby wasn’t even Thomas’s,” I cut in softly,

“That’s why you faked the miscarriage. It drove a wedge

between us, earns you his sympathy, and keeps him from

finding out the truth when the baby was born.”

Lilith fell completely silent.

I tapped the screen and saved the recording.

Almost instantly, Thomas called, his voice sharp with

accusation. “Amelia, what did you say to Lilith! She just had

miscarriage and you harassed her. Have you no conscience?”

I didn’t answer. Instead, I sent him Lilith’s fabricated

evidence and the full recording.

I was already sitting inside an airport terminal. The boarding

announcement echoed over the speakers, and panic crept

into Thomas’s voice. “What’s that airport announcement?

Where are you?”

“Where I am doesn’t matter to you anymore.” I boarded the

plane and settled into my seat.

“Check your group chat. You couldn’t stop talking about that

uncontrollable physical attraction, could you? I hope you enjoy what you see.”

“Thomas, I’ll see you in court.”
