He Said Cheating Was a habit, Fine I Swapped Grooms Chapter 03

“Amelia! I told you, we are NOT getting divorced!*

He ran after me and wrapped his arms tightly around me. “I

really meant to end things. Lilith said it was our last time

and then she’d be leaving the country!”

Lilith followed us outside, her eyes glistening with tears.

Amelia, I really want to end things with him.”

opened my mouth to reply.

Before I could say a word, Lilith’s ex–husband walked over and

shot me a scornful look. “Well, well. Look who it is–Thomas’s

naive little wife.”

“Don’t believe a word out of Lilith’s mouth! They were

sleeping together while she was still married to me! They’ve

got all kinds of kinky toys I’ve never even seen. Has Thomas

ever used any of that on you?”

“Shut the hell up!” Thomas’s eyes blazed with rage. He lunged at the man again.

Lilith let out a sharp scream, clutched her stomach, and collapsed.

Without a second thought, Thomas swept her up in his arms and rushed off.

stared at his retreating, frantic figure. My heart tore open once more,

Thomas, this is yet another time you’ve abandoned me for her I stumbled home alone.

Much later, Thomas returned. His expression was grim, yet a trace of excitement lingered in his eyes.

Amy,” he called my name softly. “Lilith is pregnant. The baby… it’s mine.”

Bracing for my reaction, he rushed over and wrapped his arms around me. “I’m sorry. I never meant for this to happen.”

But the baby is innocent. Lilith has had miscarriages before and has trouble conceiving. She wants to keep this one.”

I give you my word. From now on, she’ll just focus on the

pregnancy and stay out of your way. Once the baby is born, I’ll cut all ties with her for good.”

My fists clenched tight. A sharp pain stabbed through my chest.

For three years, I’d tried so hard to get pregnant. But every time I brought up having a child, he’d flatly say the timing wasn’t right.

After only three months of cheating with Lilith, she conceived,

I pushed him away. “Thomas, whatever you do is no longer

my concern. I’m getting a divorce.”

The guilt faded from Thomas’s eyes, replaced by resentment.

“I won’t grant you a divorce!”

“I told you, my feelings for Lilith are purely physical. You’re my wife. She’s nothing. Don’t bring up divorce again. I’ll never consent. In Bethel City, no lawyer will take your case without my say–so.”

I stared at him, my body trembling involuntarily.

Thomas softened his tone and drew me close again. “Amy, we’re perfect for each other. Try to look past our physical issues.”

“I’ve already started seeing a therapist. Maybe things will get better over time. I can learn to connect with you, and we can have a baby eventually.”

My heart shattered completely. “Thomas, you’ve disgusted me beyond words.”

He said nothing. He simply kissed my forehead. “Amy, I will make it up to you.”

He didn’t come home for three straight days.

Meanwhile, I quietly gathered evidence and prepared to file for divorce.

To my relief, a lawyer friend agreed to take my case.

I had just returned home from the law firm one afternoon.

The moment I stepped through the door, Thomas stormed toward me, wild–eyed.

“Amelia, look what you’ve done! Lilith lost the baby. What did you do to her?”
