You Taught Me How to Stary Chapter 08

Looking at Vivian like this, I laughed quietly, almost maniacally.

But she just stroked her belly, smiling even more sinisterly than me.

“As long as I tell Cedric you made me do it, he’ll

definitely believe me without question like he always does. Plus, I’m pregnant with his child! Once the baby

is born and we do a paternity test, I’ll definitely become Mrs. Hale!”

“Hahaha! Josephine, you’ll never be better than me…”

Vivian’s laughter stopped abruptly as she fell heavily to the ground.

I looked up.

It was Cedric. He had kicked Vivian hard in the stomach.

“I haven’t even come looking for you yet, and you dare show up in front of Josephine?”

“You think you deserve to be Mrs. Hale? What the hell do you think you are!”

Cedric’s face was frighteningly cold.

He glanced at Vivian, who was in too much pain to stand, and ordered someone to drag her out.

Even though Vivian said she was pregnant.

Even though Vivian kept begging for mercy, kept saying I was the one who stole the confidential information.

Cedric remained unmoved throughout.

I couldn’t even be bothered to give them a glance and slowly turned over.

In the following days.

Cedric stayed by my side constantly.

When he wanted to help me wash, I’d turn away with my back to him.

When he tried to feed me porridge, I’d press my lips together and close my eyes.

“Josephine… you can be angry

eat something!”

at me, but you need to

I looked up and glanced at him coldly, saying nothing.

Cedric’s brows furrowed tightly.

“Josephine, you can hit me or yell at me, but if you

don’t eat, how will you get better?”

Annoyed, I pulled the blanket over my head.

The doctor had told him I only had a few days left.

But he still wouldn’t believe it.

I didn’t understand what he was pretending for.

“Josephine, you have to hang in there… we don’t have

children yet! When you get better, we’ll have one, okay?”

This sentence suddenly sparked an evil thought in my mind.

So I deliberately softened my attitude and said quietly, “Vivian said she’s pregnant with your child. You two

should just live a good life together. She’s right–I can‘ compare to her.“

“Back then, she sent me those intimate photos of you two in the office. That’s when I found out she’d become your personal secretary.”

“If only she hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have fought with you, wouldn’t have been kicked out of the house, wouldn’t have drunk so much that I got stomach cancer…”

“Cedric, I don’t want to die! I really want to go back to how things were with you. We were so happy back then!”

My voice grew more choked up as I spoke.

Then I sneaked a glance at Cedric–his eyes were full of murderous intent.

He tucked the blanket around me, his voice low: ” Josephine, rest well. I have something to take care of.

I’ll be right back.”

I wiped away my tears with a cold expression.

Vivian, you like to pretend? Well, let me give you a taste of your own medicine.

I didn’t expect Cedric would be so ruthless with Vivian.
