My Fiance Chose Her, So I Made Him Lose It All Chapter 04
I could accept him being kind.
But he needed to understand boundaries.
I could let it go when he hired someone without asking me.
But once I gave him a chance, he thought he could do it again.
Julian came from a respectable but not top–tier family.
Even so, he had grown up surrounded by luxury.
After I embarrassed him in front of others, his expression turned cold.
“Celeste, you’re so controlling
“You always have to call the shots.”
“No one can even stand being around you.”
“Yeah, your family’s rich–we get it.”
“But most guys want someone warm.”
“Not someone who just bulldozes everyone.” I stared at him.
Then I suddenly laughed.
“A bulldozer?”
“That’s what you think I am?”
“I’m abusing my power?”
“Just because I fired an employee who didn’t meet the
requirements?”
Julian looked away.
After a moment, he lowered his voice.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean?”
“Huh?”
“Say it.”
I stepped forward.
I grabbed him and pulled him away from Mia.
“My fiance.”
“Worried about my best friend.”
“Right in front of me.”
“Should I applaud you?”
“Call you some kind of hero?”
“Anyone looking at the two of you would think I’m the one in
the way.”
“Do you want me to leave?”
“Give you two some space?”
Mia’s face instantly turned pale.
She rushed over and grabbed my arm.
“Celeste, you misunderstood.”
“There’s nothing between Julian and me.”
“We’re just classmates.”
“I don’t have any feelings for him.”
“If you don’t want me here, I’ll leave.”
“I’ll stay out of your way.”
“I won’t bother you two anymore.”
I was tired of listening to her excuses.
I looked at her coldly.
“Fine.”
“I don’t need to support you anymore, right?”
“You’re already a college graduate.”
“You can find another job,”
“And then no one will misunderstand your relationship with
him.”
Julian suddenly looked up.
“No!”
“Mia has only worked here for half a month.”
“If she quits now, everyone will think there’s something
wrong with her.”
“So?”
Julian’s eyes shifted away from mine.
“Let her stay for three months.”
“Let her build a decent resume.”
“That way, it’ll be easier for her to find another job later.”
I laughed.
“Julian.”
“You’re really something.”
“You’ve already planned everything for her future.”
“Wow.”
“You’re such a good man.”
“Then what am I?”
I raised my hand.
The slap landed across Julian’s face.
“Julian.”
“If standing next to me isn’t enough…”
“Then let’s call it off.”
“I’m not gonna stop you from running around playing hero
for other women.”
The office went completely silent.
Julian covered his face.
He stared at me, breathing heavily.
Mia immediately rushed toward him.
She wanted to touch his face.
But when she noticed my sharp gaze, she quickly pulled her
hand back.
She looked at me with pleading eyes.
“Çeleste…”
“It’s all my fault.”
“Please don’t be mad at Julian.”
“Don’t let me come between you two.”
“Please–just take it out on me.”
“If it helps, hit me.”
“Go ahead–Slap me if you need to.”
As she spoke, she dropped to her knees in front of me.
Julian looked at me.
Then he grabbed Mia and pulled her up.
“Celeste.”
“Do you really have to push things this far?”
“Is this how you treat people?”
With that, he pulled Mia away and walked out.
I looked down at the broken pieces on the floor.
A few dried drops of brownish blood were still left behind.
I let out a cold laugh.
Julian.
It seems you really don’t want to be the man standing beside
the Sinclair heiress.
I turned around and went back to the Sinclair Family
residence.
I planned to tell my father everything.
The moment I stepped inside, my father walked over with a
bright smile.
“Celeste, you’re back.”
“Well, well.”
“Got yourself a husband and already forgot your old man?”
“You came back and didn’t even come see your father first.”
“Come on.”
“Take a look.”
“Guess who’s here.”
Before I could respond, the kitchen door opened.
My grandmother walked out with a warm smile.
She was carrying a dish in her hands.
The moment I saw her, my eyes lit up.
I rushed over and hugged her.
“Grandma!”
“What brings you here?”
“I missed you so much!”
