After I slapped Adrian’s mistress, Adrian had my entire family committed to a private psychiatric facility.
From then on, I no longer dared to interfere.
When Evelyn caught a cold, I took care of her and made sure she took her medicine.
When Evelyn gave birth, I stayed up all night taking care of her.
It wasn’t until her and Adrian’s child turned one month old
that I finally gathered the courage to beg him to release my family.
But Adrian only smiled mockingly.

“Your father and your brother were never in that facility.”
“For the past three years, they’ve been staying with Evelyn.”
On the screen, my father and Nathan surrounded Evelyn and her child.
Their faces were filled with a happiness and satisfaction I had never seen before.
My eyes instantly filled with tears.
I felt something inside me shatter.
Adrian continued.
“Vivian, you’ve been very obedient these past three years.”
Keep it up. Whatever you want as compensation, I’ll give it to you.
But…” He smiled faintly. “Even if I tried to make it up to you, you wouldn’t take it, would you?”
I wiped away my tears and lifted my head with a smile.
Adrian, then compensate me with fifteen million dollars.”
I was done with a husband like him.

“If you want to make it up to me, then give me money.

The screen had switched to a video call.
Evelyn looked at me with a smile, her eyes filled with amusement.

My father was holding Evelyn’s child, smiling brightly.

“Vivian, I’ll be honest. I never thought you would actually ask Adrian for money.”

Nathan gently touched Evelyn’s head.
His eyes were filled with affection and helplessness.
But the moment he looked back at the camera, his
expression turned cold again.

If you need money, I can transfer it to you.”

I interrupted him, my eyes red from holding back tears.
“You took away my husband.”

“You lied to me for three years and made me take care of her
like I was her personal caretaker.”
