I Sat Trapped In The Wedding Car For One Whole Hour Chapter 06

Half an hour later, Ethan rushed to The Maplewood House

He remembered how after every fight, I’d come here and sit all day, then go back and apologize to him

What he didn’t know was that I used to let things slide only because I still loved him. I wasn’t willing to throw away five years over a fight

Hazel!Ethan burst into the living room, throwing open every door, calling my name over and over

Only silence answered him

His gaze landed on the nightstand in the master bedroom

The drawer was open. The familiar pearl necklace was gone

He stumbled back two steps. For the first time, he understood. This wasn’t a fight. This was me leaving

That necklace was the heirloom my grandmother left me

She said when I found the right person. I should keep it in the nightstand on my wedding day. It was supposed to bring us luck. A long, happy marriage

Ethan had laughed at me back then and called it superstitious

His eyes landed on the corner of the drawer, and his whole body went slack

There was a ring. The engagement ring he’d slipped onto my finger when he proposed

He picked it up like a ghost. The initials engraved inside were still clear

I’d worn it every day and refused to take it off. And now

Ethan shook his head, trying to fight off the awful thoughts, but his legs gave out and he dropped to the floor

The silence was crushing. He felt like the only person left in the world. He’d been completely abandoned. This house, and him. I had truly left it all behind

Then he heard a key in the lock. Ethan scrambled to his feet and rushed out, convinced it was me..

¡Hazel?”

Savannah’s face immediately darkened at the door. You’re still looking for her?”

Ethan misunderstood completely. Did you find her? She won’t answer my calls. Her parents won’t answer either.”

Savannah, you’re her best friend, She’ll pick up for you, Tell me where she is.”

Savannah’s lips twisted. She never treated me like a best friend! Ethan, she’s trying to destroy us!”

Ethan stared at her, completely lost. What are you talking about?”

Savannah’s eyes were still wet as she pulled out her phone and opened my social media

The pinned post already had over a hundred thousand likes, and it was still climbing

That account used to be my couple’s vlog with Ethan, plus the home decor series I’d been posting for the last six months. I’d built up two hundred thousand followers

But now, every old video and post had been deleted. Only one remained, posted an hour ago

Nothing but photos and video clips. Not a single word

It was more than enough to send the internet into a frenzy

Ethan’s hands shook as he opened the post. It started with our deep red wedding invitation, his name and mine. Then our wedding Portraits from the beach

But as he scrolled, it was nothing but pictures of him and Savannah. Today, and from before

Everything he’d sworn was harmless was now being picked apart, screenshot by screenshot

In the comments, his and Savannah’s names were being dragged and labeled. Everyone was on my side, calling Savannah the other woman and Ethan a complete scumbag

Ethan stared at the comments in disbelief and started rambling. This isn’t true. They’re all wrong

He grabbed the phone and started frantically defending himself in the comments. It didn’t matter what he said- nobody believed him. Every desperate reply only brought more hate crashing down on him

Savannah shook her head and whispered, It’s pointless. The reposts are higher than the likes.”

By the end, she was crying in fear. Everyone’s calling me the other woman. My company got flooded with complaints. HR just fired me.”

Hazel is ruthless. She left me with nothing. Ethanwhat do I do?”

But Ethan acted like he didn’t hear a word. He just opened his own social media account and tried to pull Savannah into frame
