The Clean-Freak Alpha’s Dirty Secret Love Chapter 08
Flora stared at the failed delivery notification and slammed her fist against the bed.
Before things fell apart between us, I would have foolishly handed over most of my savings to her.
She couldn’t understand why I had become so cold.
Then she called Waldo.
“I told you. Don’t contact me anymore,” he said, his voice weary.
Flora’s voice shook with sobs.
“I’ve been kicked out of Duskclaw Pack. I have nowhere to
you’re all I have left.”
go. Waldo
“I’m outside the pack house. Let me see you one last time. At least
then I won’t leave with regrets.”
“Don’t do anything stupid!”
When Waldo stepped outside and saw Flora, shivering in the
autumn cold with so little on, he softened.
He draped his jacket over her shoulders and let her secretly stay in the pack house.
But every day afterward, Waldo would come to regret it.
Flora spent her days on the couch, scrolling through her phone. Sh
stayed up late binge–watching dramas.
Soon, the pack house was a mess.
Waldo worked late at the council hall and didn’t come home until night.
Every time he pushed open the door, he was met with chaos.
He began to miss the days we lived together.
Back then, no matter how late he came home, I’d wake up, groggy–eyed, and heat a glass of milk for him.
He kept thinking about how good I had been to him.
But now, I didn’t want him anymore.
Waldo couldn’t bear the torment of those memories. He raised his
hand and slapped himself hard.
“You’re such a bastard!”
The noise woke Flora.
She stared at the red mark on his face, shocked. “What… what happened?”
“Clean this up. Now!” Waldo pointed at the mess on the floor, his voice ice–cold.
“Move out tomorrow. Quietly.*
Flora’s eyes went wide. “You’re disgusted with me now?”
“You promised you’d always take care of me! You said you’d always be my anchor!”
The word “always” hit Waldo like a knife.
He remembered the winter night he’d warmed my cold feet against his chest.
I had leaned against him, happiness written all over my face.
“Waldo, will you always stay with me?”
“Of course.” His answer had been so certain.
But later, he threw away our “always” with his own hands.
Waldo grabbed Flora and shoved her. “It’s because of you! You ruined everything between me and Janet!”
“Get out!”
He pushed her toward the door.
Flora winced at the force. Her mask finally cracked.
“Waldo! Did I force you to cheat on her? Did I force you to ignore her?”
“You soaked up every bit of Janet’s love while craving the thrill I gave you!”
“You wanted her loyalty, but you couldn’t let go of me. And now you want to blame me for everything? How pathetic!”
“No matter how angry you get, Janet doesn’t want you anymore!”
Flora’s cruel words struck like knives.
Waldo shoved her out of the pack house. Then he sank to the floor. buried his face in his hands, and wept.
No one heard his cries. Only he knew how many tears he shed that night.
The next day, he set out for the border.
